Retro Radio Icons Set Announced

Lego is releasing a new Retro Radio set as part of their Icons collection on June 1st for Lego Insiders and June 4th for the general public.

The 906-piece set, priced at $99.99, emulates a classic 1950s-60s portable radio with a mint green exterior, faux wood trimmings, and a magnified tuner window.

While it doesn't actually tune AM/FM radio, it includes a special sound brick that plays preloaded tunes and a hidden compartment to hold a smartphone for playing music.

Check out the Retro Radio on the LEGO website.

LEGO Unveils Notre-Dame de Paris Set

Scheduled for pre-order on June 1 at $229, LEGO's new Notre-Dame de Paris set is a deep dive into the architectural magnificence of the historic cathedral.

This 4,383-piece set, a standout in the Architecture series, features a meticulously detailed design with removable roofs, which allows builders to explore the intricacies within, including the famed rose windows and elaborate gothic arches.

The booklet encapsulates the evolution of Notre-Dame from its initial 12th-century construction through its 19th-century restorations, offering builders a rich, educational assembly experience.

This set marks LEGO's first venture back into religious landmarks in over six decades.

Moving on from soaring spires to secretive smiles...

DaVinci Decoded in Brick Form

Doctors Find Lego Heads Pass Through Digestive System in 1.71 Days

We promise we tripled-checked if this was a joke or not. It's real.

In a study published in the Journal of Paediatrics and Child Health, six pediatricians swallowed Lego heads to see how long they take to pass through the human body.

They kept detailed records of their bathroom visits, measuring stool softness with something called the Stool Hardness and Transit (SHAT) score, and tracked the time it took for the Lego to exit, which they humorously named the Found and Retrieved Time (FART) score.

The FART scores showed that the Lego heads took anywhere from just over a day to about three days to pass, averaging around 1.71 days. Interestingly, one of the doctors never found the Lego head.

That's all for this edition. Until next time!

Build on and Prosper
